Cancer changed Leticia’s life. Her decision to design and handcraft jewelry kept her busy, focused and creative during those harsh days of chemotherapy, surgeries and recuperation. Her company Gem-n-i & Co. Designs named after her twin sister, Natasha, became her passion and purpose. Leticia designs handcrafted fine jewelry using only the best silver, gold, precious and natural gemstones. Her copyrighted unique, one-of-a-kind pieces are designed around the characteristics of a gemstones color and size. She gives 100% of the money earned from her “Love Cures Awareness” bracelets to help fund cancer research. As crippling as cancer can be emotionally and physically Leticia has chosen to reinvent herself. She is one of the hopeful ones fulfilling her dream and finding purpose in giving. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996 and seem to be free of it until it recurred in 2006 when she began the battle of her life. No longer strong enough to work full-time Leticia found her way back to her dream of designing and handcrafting jewelry.
